      Splendid effort. The last time I tried growing one it was ginger. Didn't require much persuasion to get rid of it.

    Almost three weeks now, still not very impressive. Two fellow growers are threatening to shave, annoyed by whispy strands on the upper lip. Wives seem generally amused, but secretly waiting for the end of the month.

    After one week a straggly mo is starting to appear. It looks more as though I haven't washed.
