A fund to help Joy and her family while Alec is in hospital fighting for his life.
On Thurs 13th April 2017 Alec was involved in a hit and run while walking home and airlifted to hospital in Auckland.

Alec is a young 20yr old man who is due to turn 21 on the 24th April. Alec is currently in an induced coma while surgeons are working frantically on the horrendous injuries he sustained.
This page is for the community to come together and support one of our children and the family we all love to bits.
This is going to be one very long road to recovery for Alec and his family. Trips to the hospital are on the cards for many months. It's the least we can do to support Joy and her family. At times like this we can all pull together and just givealittle.

I have known Joy and her family for many many years. Our children have all grown up together in the local community. In times like this it's the least I can do to support a much loved lady and her family.
Use of funds
At this stage, while we are waiting for Alec to come out of the coma, just helping pay for petrol, car parking and food for the family will go a long way to support them.

Big day yesterday for Alec, very emotional as he left hospital for the Rehab centre....13 weeks to the day he was admitted and now it is onward and upward...the teams at Auckland Hospital were outstanding in their care and expertise and Alec has the best attitude imaginable...he will be back for another couple of operations in August but for now it is Rehab Plus in Carrington , Pt. Chevalier
