WellingtonThe world’s premier pediatric journal (JAMA Pediatrics) has published a new government-funded study, Association Between Maternal Fluoride Exposure During Pregnancy and IQ Scores in Offspring, confirming our worst fears, linking exposure to fluoridated water during pregnancy to lowered IQ for the developing child. We have already aired a radio ad and a newspaper advert. We have radio ad continuing for the next couple of weeks and we have more newspaper ads going in next week. We also have billboards going up in Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Wellington and Dunedin. We would love to put up more billboards and have more newspaper advertisements so we can get this important information out to all pregnant women in New Zealand.
Use of funds
The money will be spent on a public education campaign.The aim is to let every pregnant women in New Zealand know the latest science so she can make an informed choice about consuming fluoride while pregnant.
