A team of Eco-Warrior divers running a series of endurance events in SCUBA gear in an effort to raise money for ocean conservation.
Canterbury
There’s no bigger area in the world dying than our oceans. The number 1 contributor to this degradation is human activity. We are raising funds to help Project AWARE’s mission to keep our oceans clean and healthy.
Our team of trainee Dive Instructors have challenged ourselves to enter a series of running events increasing in difficulty:
-14km Run (City 2 Surf - 21 March)
- Half Marathon (TBC)
- Marathon (TBC)
We’ll push ourselves to complete these events in full SCUBA gear. This is in order to raise awareness of the fragility of our oceans in which we as planet are fully reliant on.
As a group of trainee PADI Dive Instructors, we have naturally become ambassadors for ocean conservation - in which Project AWARE is the flagship! Our mission is to contribute anything we can in an effort to keep the oceans that we love healthy.
Funds will be used to help support Project AWARE in their conservation activities which range from protecting endangered marine species to ocean clean up initiatives.
City 2 Surf - 14km 30 March 2021
