I just came across this couples amazing story, but there are no updates and this page is closed. Did they raise enough money?

As this person above I would happily do the same and donate my eggs

Ellen

Hi Maxine,

Thanks so much for your kind offer...we've had a lot of people offer their eggs. Unfortunately, it's not a simple process and takes a lot of time...a six month quarantine period for example! Also...lots of counseling...not to mention the fact the success rate in NZ is not very high. The San Diego Clinic in the States has an 80% success rate...so if they're going to do it, they need to do it soon and properly. Thanks again for your kind offer..I suggest you contact Fertility NZ and donate your eggs to others...a big reason Nick and Nicola are doing this is to raise awareness around the lack of eggs in NZ...the more people who donate them, the easier it will be for people in the future! Thanks again!

Hiya this is quite random but, would it be useful if I donated my eggs? Would this save funds and an overseas trip? Cheers Clare
