Bent cyclist aiming for the Paralympics
Nationwide
I’m Jordon and I am a T1 cyclist who is aiming to cycle on the world stage and hopefully eat waffles in the process.
About me:
Born with a physical condition called cerebral palsy, the last 33 years has been an awesome shaky adventure.
Para-sports has been a huge part of my life from a young age and it has given me an opportunity to live my life to the fullest. Recently I have started a awesome journey in cycling, with the dream of cycling in the Paralympics.
In the space of a year, I went from sitting on a racing trike for the first time ever to now having a racing classification, an intensive training program and now the opportunity to début at an international World Cup.
In order to get to the World Cup, i have entered the following competitions:
🚴Parafed Waikato Activ8 C1 Event – Hampton Downs - 9 February 2023
🚴🚴Oceania Champs – Brisbane - 31 March -1 April 2023
🚴🚴♀️🚴Road Nationals – Timaru, 14-16 April 2023
🚴🚴🚴🚴Ostend Para Cycling Road World Cup – 1st week of May 2023
Fingers crossed that I qualify for more competitions later on in the year.
If it works and I am good enough then I will be able to progress further up the Paralympic journey and closer to the dream of cycling in the Paralympic Games. For now I am cycling as a ‘independent’ so self-funding the whole thing.
I am aware that this a crazy tough year for everyone so I have decided to self-fund this round of campaign however I am extremely grateful for all your support on my Paralympic journey.
