Providing a safer Ride for the Vulnerable

Nationwide

Requesting a ride has become one of the easiest things to do, you pull out your phone and with a touch of a button a driver will be sent to your location. But requesting a safer ride has become even harder.

If you live with a disability, use a wheelchair to get around or have a service animal, you are more likely to get your rides cancelled on the spot or have the other problem of nobody turning up due to the lack of accessible vans. This will result in you missing your meetings, being late to important life events and having to scramble around trying to find other ways to get to your destination leaving you in a vulnerable and open space to get attacked or sexually assaulted by any individual/s which will leave you completely on edge and with mental scars that will take months, sometimes years to heal.

We have all stressed over the safety of ourselves, a friend or a loved one traveling with a complete stranger. Worrying about something bad happening during the ride or whether we will get to our final destination safely, but with this service we are looking to not only eliminate that gut wrenching feeling but also transform the availability in requesting a safer and more reliable alternative.

There's honestly no such thing as too big or too small, anything will be truly appreciated.

Update 2 - Page Marketing and Progress  12 May 2025

Hi everyone, Just thought I’d post a update to clear up any confusions. I'll be launching this service in 9 regions. So this service will be going live in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, New Plymouth, Napier, Palmy & Wellington. The same year, I'll be expanding in Christchurch, Queenstown, Dunedin etc. I'll be working at rapidly expanding the APP within the first year of operations. We have things set within the regions, we just need to fund the development of the APP. Donors that have come from FB might’ve seen the page link around multiple groups and might’ve wondered why I’m doing it that way, reason for that was seeing as how I’ll be launching in those 9 regions as well as expanding into the further 4, I thought I'd try and get some support from individuals within those regions – and the support has been amazing. Progress wise, I have made a lot of connections with vans as well as spoke with rideshare drivers that are keen to jump on board and support the cause. Your support means absolutely everything to me & its allowed me to progress this further in terms of building the business as well as getting closer to the development of the APP. We still have a bit to go as you may know APPs are not cheap, but I am honestly a lot closer than I was a few years ago. Every donation that comes through the page is greatly appreciated & will get us closer to a better and accessible future for our disabled community.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart,

Barney.
