Your Garden: Providing an enclosed area for our shelter at the Children's Therapy Garden

At Your Garden we provide an alternative learning environment predominantly aimed at primary school age children who do not receive in school support, do not qualify for funding to assist with their specific learning needs and are struggling with the day to day routine of traditional school regime and curriculum. Using the medium of horticultural therapy but with an individualised programme the children gain confidence, reduce anxieties, feel successful and enjoy learning. All the produce grown and harvested by the children is either taken home to family, to the school community or given to a local charity to distribute to the wider needing community. We feel this is an important key to success with learning and growing empathy for others.
