Pukekohe East School is embarking on a fundraising program to raise funds to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to be kept at the school.
As we are a rural community and emergency services can take time to reach our area, the school wishes to make the AED available to our community.
The unit will be mounted in a locked cabinet outside of the school office. To access the AED a call to the 111 service will provide the code to open the cabinet.
A total of approximately $4,600 + GST is required to purchase this device, outside storage cabinet and accessories. A portion of the funds from our annual Pet Day will be put toward the project, however we require some assistance from the community.
Any donation, large or small will assist the school in providing this potentially life saving device to our rural school and surrounding rural community.
My name is Kelly Searle. I am a member of the Pukekohe East School PTA. As I am from a medical background, I am leading the fundraising project.
