We are alive (not sure how) and that’s all that matters!
We’ve lost everything - dead cats dead kittens house gone.
Saved the kids, 4 cats, 4 dogs - the water came in like a tsunami - we had maybe 10 mins before we were in the tree. We dived out a window from the top bunk and swam to a tree holding onto it for 3 hrs. The dogs were holding onto us and the tree.
When the water started dropping we swam to the shed and had to dive down to get through the side door. We could then swim up to the loft and pull ourselves to what we hoped was safety.
