Putting Grammy to rest

This is on behalf of Sasha and these are her words .

I won't lie.  Before this very moment, I use to think it was weird to ask strangers for money. But you never know what someone is going through, until you go through it yourself. And when you need it, you need it. So putting everything to the side, we need to put Grammy to rest - as soon as possible. Not only for her,  but for our family.

She was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer late in 2018, and was told she would live about 18months. In October 2019, we found out that the cancer was in her brain. She did chemotherapy and radiation but it wasn't enough. Grammy passed away on the 23rd of January (2020)

She was cremated on the 25th of January and her ashes have been passed around since. We want to lay her to rest but the costs of the undertakers and cremation alone were thousands of dollars none of us had.

We've been quoted just under $4,000nzd for a nice headstone package. It includes the cost of the plot, an upright headstone, a base with a flower box on each side, one photo, engraved designs and writing, the council permit, and installation fee.
