We at QT CATs are here to help! We are looking to support cat owners financially to provide basic vet care and food, to keep you united.

Southland

Queenstown is one of the worst affected regions in New Zealand to be affected by the Covid-19 economical fall out, with the highest job losses and most likely the slowest economic region to recover due to our heavy reliance on tourists.

We at QT CATs are concerned that so many people will have to make hard financial decisions when it comes to their cats, and we foresee a tidal wave of cats being given up/ abandoned/ surrendered (or worse having to be put down due to people that are unable to afford to keep and care for them.) We can help!!

QT CATs – (QT Community CATs) was created during the Covid-19 lockdown by four experienced cat caring ladies. Our goal is to flatten the curve of what could potentially be a tidal wave of cat issues to come. We would like to be 'the fence at the top of the cliff rather than the ambulance at the bottom.'

About us

QT CATs has expanded in to many more things, than just a cat rescue, we focus on connecting the community through cats, using kindness and humane practices.

Pet therapy, workplace wellbeing, School connections, barn cats, education, & more.
