All buns who were desexed last Friday are recovering perfectly.
Candy, Vanilla, Buddy, Pip and their aunty Penny were all desexed yesterday at Kelburn vets. All procedures went well and all buns settled well into their indoor recovery accommodations. Taking medications well and beginning to eat and poop. Picture of Vanilla just relaxing after her big day.
Hi thanks for support. Pip, Candy, Vanilla and Buddy are booked in to be desexed on the 10th July. I'm working on setting up indoor recovery space for them as they need to be kept warm after the procedure. It is going to be a very expensive day at the vets. With microchip approx $75 per bun, one neuter $250 and three spey operations at 350 each. Kelburn vets specialises in exotics and we are very lucky to have such an amazing team to look after these rescue kits.
Hi all
Thanks for your support. Khoda was Spey today. No complications and is recovering well. Thanks to the team at Kelburn vets. The kits were vaccinated.
Khoda's kits are 6 weeks old and doing well. They will need their first vaccination in a month's time. Khoda will be spey at the same time.
In January 5 Rabbits were secured from Arawhata and Linwood streets. 4 have been desexed and one was heavily with kit and we now have 4 new additions who will all require vaccination and desexing.
Khodas kits are 3 weeks old. I have contacted vet to find out when best time is to desex Khoda. Have to wait till kits are weened. Vet bills due from last month's procedures.
We were able to get Latte in to be spey at Kelburn vets today. It's always stressful waiting for the call from them to say all is well
We have been so fortunate to have the help from local rabbit rescue to get these buns vaccinated. Next stop desexing. We have a booking on Monday and another on Thursday. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has donated to pay vet bills. I will close this page refer all donations to Wellington Rabbit Rescue and Kelburn Vets.
We have secured 5 Roaming Rabbits 4 does and one buck. Require vaccination and desex.
Chip and Pipi have been roaming the neighbourhood for some time. We were able to secure them. Would love to have them desexed and vaccinated so they can go to their special human.
Latte has been living under a deck and was recovered this week. Male rabbits have been in the vicinity. We are hoping she is not already with kit. We want to have her spey and vaccinated.
We are in conversation with local vet to try again with Olive. Files are being sent over to see if it is safe to try again with spey.
Hi all Pickle was desexed on December 4th. Unfortunately his brother Cucumber was too small only weighed in at 700g and his Sister Olive had complications in surgery meaning she was not spey.
