Hiya, 7 hours should of been 5.5 that’s as fast as it will ever be. The machine played up so that was the hick up. Had a pretty good night sleep, taking sleeping tablets and was exhausted by the time I got home 🏠 so it all worked in for a good night. Go back for my white cell jab then the fun will begin🤞🤞🤞😊😊 only a headache, gut a bit tender so nothing to complain about, had my 6 pills for breaky keep nausea away. Seems a bit if bone pain, day 3 😍 the 2nd day ran round like a nutter yesterday. Must have been the affects of steroids, that desire has left me.

  • Out the other side

      13 October 2018

Well I can report after 10 days I’m out the other side and feel Im 90-95% most of the time now 👏👏 so each day I’ve pretty much had a different side effect as my body works it all out. Now I’m just left with my taste buds are buggered so picky on what food I enjoy. Bland is good, I hate to say, scrambled eggs and veggie are good, bit of poached chicken, no sauces or extra touches thank you 😊 As a foodie and loves cooking this is a complete flip out 😂 I’m now at the low white cell stage so need to be careful of sick people and germs. Small goal is to stay healthy, rest and count down 10 days till next hit.... oh and my hair falls out this week, so off for a haircut this afternoon 💕

  • General update

      6 October 2018

Well last 3 days after chemo, I'm doing pretty ok! 1st night one hour sleep, 2nd and 3rd night 4 hours sleep. I have bone ache which is not helping me sleep. No nausea 🤪 so drugs are working there. The aches are a side effect from a white cell promoter injection they give each time after chemo, to try keep white cell producing. Ive been for a walk each day but I'll rest more today I think 😍

  • Look Good Feel Better Classes

      1 October 2018

I have registered today!! Facing Cancer with Confidence! Amazing group all over the country. Feel Better Class for any cancer patient with any cancer. It's a day away from the world of diagnosis and treatment to help face cancer with confidence. At the class we focus on the problems associated with the visible side effects of cancer treatment including hair loss, eyebrows, eyelashes and other skin related issues. Each class is run by a Tutor and a team of qualified beauty volunteers. Our volunteers have a wealth of experience, many either working previously as cosmetic consultants, beauty therapists or nurses. Looking forward to something nice like this :-) Thank you

  • The purchase of my new hair do!

      29 September 2018
    Main image

New hair do purchased! One wig "actually better than my own hair" great colour and cut plus more hair than I've got to start with! Tried 6 on, we narrowed it down to the perfect one, with a bit of a trim and style, all done! Very pleased and relief I think is the feeling. Two head scarfs. Thank you as you have helped me purchased the necessary items. I think I'm ready for this physical loss in two weeks time. 😢😢😘😘

  • Wig shopping

      29 September 2018

Well it's that time and this is how you are helping me too 💕 Off wig shopping this morning. 10am appointment in Tauranga at creative wings. Small bit of information for you, they cost a small fortune. Like hundreds of dollars and into thousands for real hair. 🙄 will post update on purchase. Going to be an confronting and emotional morning. Thank you again 😍😘🌞

  • Benefits of chemotherapy

      28 September 2018

Thought I lighten the mood today with a quick thought!

ALL my hair will fall out from all over my body, so there will be less personally grooming! Money saving! No haircut, colours, shavers, creams, no shampoos, no waxing, threading, dying, plucking. That's got to be a good thing :-)

  • Implantable port-a-cath

      27 September 2018

So Tuesday my last Operation for a long while :-) They implanted a port-a-cath into my upper chest area. I will get my chemotherapy, and blood samples etc and anything else they need to feed me through this. Saves me being stabbed inserting a lure every 3 weeks for 6 months or more. I DO FEEL LIKE IVE BEEN SHOT at the moment, bit painful but that will ease hahahaha. In the long run this is to make these treatments easier.

The port is completely under my skin. "bit creepy" You can see and feel a small bump on my chest.

If you have any questions please ask. I want to help others through my journey and experience to inform everyone how this really is!
