Help with Thomas' chemo costs!

    It's with broken hearts we have to announce that we had to say goodbye to Thomas yesterday.

    After four chemo sessions, his tumour hadn't got much smaller; his red blood count was very low, but white high, which indicates it wasn't because of the chemo - so something else was also wrong.

    Thomas stopped eating, was drinking too much, was having difficulty walking, and had to rest a lot. It was so painful to go through, we are absolutely devastated.

    We wish to thank everyone who has supported us throughout this process, from the bottom of our hearts - thank you.

    We want to thank everyone for their kindness and generous donations so far!!

    Every vet bill surprises us - they seem to always find something new to charge! Thomas is also not very happy with being manhandled so much, so they keep having to sedate him (which is another cost!).

    Yesterday was Thomas' second chemotherapy treatment. He got it via IV, plus IV fluids, plus a blood test (not sure how they administer the sedation, though). So he came home with three purple bandages he was eager to take off. (blood test came back all as expected)

    This last week he didn't eat much, we were very worried - but once he got home he has been eating well.

    He has lost some weight, though - luckily he was carrying extra weight beforehand!! Fingers crossed he keeps it up for another week - next session is next Tuesday.
