Support the Tautuku-Orme whanau following death of Chloe Jade Orme whilst in the process of picking up her children Zane (11); and Ever (7)
Bay of Plenty
Chloe Jade Orme, 28, passed away in a car accident only a few hundred metres from her home in the farming hill country of Mangakino on Monday, 19 March 2018. She was on her way to collect her children from school, Zane aged 11 and Ever aged 7.
Many people have been asking the whanau how they can contribute a koha (donation) for the children, and the idea to set up this page was a way to do so. Thank you to those who have already generously given to the family thus far.
Roger Tautuku-Orme (Chloe's Dad) has been appointed as the legal guardian and caregiver for his mokopuna (grandchildren). Fortunately the children have had a close relationship with their Koro since birth.
The funds raised are for the benefit of the children for their immediate and future needs; and will be managed by Roger to ensure they are supported in order for their dreams to become a reality, and follow through into the future.

About Zane & Ever
Zane Hema Brian Richards
Ngati Awa/Te Arawa /Ngai Tahu/ Ngati Porou
Zane is a typical boy and loves biking through the forest as well as swimming in the local pool/lake. The funds raised will be to purchase him a bike of which he has outgrown; and to engage in a swimming coach so he could further his sporting loves.
Zane also wishes to learn piano and guitar in order to fulfill his love for music; it is Rogers intention for Zane to pursue his musical interests that may one day lead Zane into a talented musician as an accompanist for a band, or as a solo artist.
Zane is also an avid reader, extremely advanced for his age. This is accredited to his Mum who encouraged his reading from a very young age, and his love for books has set him on a pathway in pursuing knowledge, or to manage boredom whilst riding in a car, or to be lost in the joyous descriptive of a well written story.
In seeking knowledge, Zane has discovered an interest in computer programming and coding. Equipment will be required for his pursuit including mandatory electronics that will aid his school homework, as well as defined projects that is available online programming.
Ever Grace Richards
Ngati Awa/Te Arawa Ngai Tahu
Chloe named Ever with the eternities in mind. She is a typical girly girl, full of life, love and energy, for Ever...
The whanau celebrated Ever's 7th birthday the day after the burial of her mother, a conundrum you may say for the world of the living. Although she had a day full of fun and laughter, the knowledge of fare welling her mother the day before still lingered in the minds of the family.
Ever loves to draw, this love was introduced, nurtured and encouraged by her mother. So much is the evidence of this talent, Ever's pathway is set; and is Rogers intention to further this love. Therefore, this page will help Ever to do so.
Chloe also loved to dance when she was a little girl, and has thus passed this same love for dance on to Ever. Rogers wish is to carry this on by enrolling Ever into ballet/jazz classes.
The donations received will be used solely to support these wonderful children and help give them a solid foundation to pursue their respective aspirations.
