Hey team, just a quick note to say thank you so so much for all your generous support over the last year. Thanks to all of you Shane has had the best year doing all the things he loves from skiing to mountain biking to chilling on the couch playing his guitar. You have all had an incredible impact on our life as a family. This treatment has now come to an end. Shane is now on a clinical trial for Forimtamig. The latest news from Shanes Doctors post his recent testing show remarkable results that they believe are signs Shane is in partial remission. This is just the best news of the year and its thanks to all of you that this has been possible! Shane has now moved to monthly cycles of the treatment so there is still a cost to bear but it is definitely proving to be the right treatment for Shane.

Keep up all the good work raising funds for the cause people. Jen "Gibbo" Gibson- Dauphin, Marcel, Brettski and others are into their mission in Palma this coming Friday the 15th 16.30 at the dock bar in STP Palma Mallorca in a sequel to the NZ "Shave for Shane" campaign. Join them there if you're in Palma and get online to "give a little" to support them. You can check out updates at Shave 4 Shane Facebook page:

  • Happy Birthday Shano!

Today is Shanes Birthday! A spritely 58 today!

    Happy Birthday mate!

Today also marks the end of the 2 weekly treatment cycles for the year and he moves into a monthly program for the remainder of the year.

The daratumumab & venetoclax have been doing the trick and Shane is doing very well indeed.

It's a far cry from where we started the year so long may it go on!

A special shout out to Rocky Jones, one of Shanes childhood family friends who set about with her Brothers Greg and Pete Yeo to organise "Shave for Shane" last weekend. There was a Wellington and Auckland event and it raised a whopping 22k towards the cause. Here's a link to the Facebook page and pics of all involved! https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=shave%204%20shane

You guys and all who participated are legends! Another mention goes to young Caitlin O'Reilly who has ben calling for sponsors to Shanes cause through her tremendous swimming efforts. Thanks Caitlin!

Thanks to everyone for your support so far,

Jump online on give a little and wish Shane a happy Birthday with us today.

    Love you Shane!

  • Week 10 update

Hi and a big thanks to all of you who have supported Shane on this journey so far.

We are getting close to the 3 month mark on this Daratumumab treatment plan and those early promising results have continued to extend which is just incredible!

Shanes blood tests are revealing cancer markers that are virtually back in the normal range having been in the thousands prior, and now down below ten This is an amazing result from where things were 3 months ago! The treatment is working!

The program has another 9 months to run though so Shane still has a long way to go, and we still have a significant portion of funds to raise to help see them through this battle.

At last count we are approximately 60% of the way there, remembering that the bulk of the funds are required to get through the first 6 months of treatment.

If any of you have additional means to spread this page link further a field, please get it out there. If you have any more wonderful fundraising ideas as some of you have been doing already! Do let us know.

Help us help Shane, Jen and the kids through this and to keep living their best life together.

  • 4th week of treatment

Thank you all for your incredible support over the last few weeks here on the give a little page and other platforms.

Outside of give a little, we've also put together approximately $150,000 NZD which includes contributions from some incredibly generous people that have been a big part of Shanes life over the years. This puts us at circa $180k of the 360k goal to fund the remaining part of this years treatment!

Shane has completed his fourth week of treatment and is responding well. Short of the side effects he is in good shape and in good spirits, in typical Shane fashion!

He and Jen can not thank you enough for your ongoing support. It’s been amazing to hear from so many old friends and to witness their generosity and that of so many others from far and wide away.

Let's keep spreading the word and sharing the page to reach as many people as possible.

Thanks again for all your support!
