Help Caiden and his whānau live their best life through cancer treatment.
Whananaki, Northland
Unfortunately, last month our mate Caiden was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called metastatic paraganglioma.
What started as ongoing neck and shoulder pain led to the discovery of a tumour in his neck that had caused one of his vertebrae to collapse and was compressing his spinal cord. Caiden underwent major surgery to stabilise his neck, and further testing showed that the cancer had already spread to several other areas of his body.
We have since learned that Caiden’s cancer is incurable and life-limiting.
Caiden is beginning radiotherapy, followed by ongoing chemotherapy. The hope is that treatment will control and shrink the cancer, with the possibility of surgically removing some of the larger tumours, if treatment is successful.
There are still plenty of unknowns ahead but this is now something Caiden and his amazing partner Josie will be navigating long term together, along with their beautiful kids, Ashton and Ayla.
Any support raised will help take some of the pressure off the whānau while Caiden goes through treatment and allow them to focus on what matters most — spending time together and making the most of life as a family.
Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated by the whānau and the support system around him.
Cheers❤️
I’ve known Caiden for nearly 10 years. He’s my best mate and I’m so lucky to have him in my life.
