Raising Funds to Reach for the Stars

Hannah Bakuwel has been fascinated with Space since she was very young. Her aim is to study astronomy and physics. Hannah has an opportunity, through her school, to go on a trip to NASA headquarters, the Johnson Space Centre in Houston, Texas in December 2024. The programme includes simulated mission planning, problem solving and budgeting for a space mission. The participants meet and interact with space scientists and engineers and astronauts. They travel to Stanford University and Silicon Valley to see the tech behind the space missions. This is an amazing opportunity for a young person who is aiming for a future in space science.

The fundraising goal is reduced because of the wonderful support for Hannah at her Fundraising Concert at the Waiheke Musical Museum. We are closer to the goal through the generous community support.
