Relief aid for Siargao Island following Typhoon Rai !!

Thanks to everyone who donated to our fundraising. We were able to raise nearly 4000NZD! (more than 100k Piso). The money went into funding half of a drinking water refilling station in northern Siargao, Pacifico village.

The station is operating now since few days!! Yuhuuuu!! (you can see some picture of the station in attached in here)

I'm really impressed by all our friends there that are rebuilding Siargao, rebuilding their life and never lost their positive vibs.

My wife and I lived for 4years in the small village of Pacifico, San Isidro in the southern part of the Philippines. We left the Island for New Zealand, Rotorua last year due to the covid pandemic and where hoping to go back there at some point.

On December 16th 2021, Super Typhoon Rai touched land right there, the epicenter passing literally through the village and shattering the whole Island down.

The people of Pacifico and Siargao welcomed us there, it's our time to help! Most of the people are stranded there, without electricity, they have no way to communicate with their relative on the main land and ask for help. They are right in the middle of the rainy season and most of them lost their house by now. after few day without news, the first pictures and video are reaching us, we hear people asking for food and drinking water, we need to help provide them the minimum vital rapidly and enough support to help them rebuild and restart. They need simple things such as tin roof and nails.

They will get through this, they never failed to impress me with their resiliency and high spirit. The inhabitant of Siargao touched my heart and I will do what I can to support them in this difficult moment.
