Restoration update
7 October 2025Our fundraising campaign is going well with almost $110,000 raised so far. The estimated cost is over $300,000, but we are currently investigating ways to reduce that cost, such as using artificial stone and/or shortening the wharf by 5 metres. We are continuing to investigate these options, with input from heritage specialists.
We will be applying to the Lotteries Environment & Heritage Fund for a substantial grant (at least half of the project cost) and, if successful, we hope to proceed with the work next year.
