Pets are Whanau (family) too!

New Zealand has opened its arms to people leaving war-torn Ukraine seeking safety with family already living here. Due to circumstances and dire need, they were forced to leave pets behind and desperately want to unite with them, to have their family whole once more.

This is where we, with your support, can do something to help. These people lost almost everything and were forced to abandon their pets, in circumstances beyond their control, to reach safety in Aotearoa /New Zealand. It is their pets' turn to be safe and in turn support the mental well-being of their family already here, who struggle to move forward when so stressed about what and who they had to leave behind.

We are working on flights to unite and also want to protect NZ borders from unwanted diseases such as Rabies, and as such, there is testing, housing, vaccines, microchipping, IATA-approved travel cages and quarantine required to bring pets to NZ. All of this is expensive. Ukrainians coming to NZ have lost everything and have been unable to work so do not have the money to have their furbaby's join them in NZ. Currently, we have 8 dogs and 1 cat from over 5 different families desperate to be reunited with their loving owners. To do this they must travel out of Ukraine stay in a country for 45 days while testing is completed and then fly to NZ and stay in Quarantine for 10 days.
