Raising funds to post a reward for information leading to the location of our missing family member member Jessica Boyce.
Nationwide
27-year-old Jessica Boyce has been missing since leaving Renwick, Marlborough, in her mum's red Holden Rodeo on Tuesday (19/03/2019).
The vehicle was found abandoned on the mountain track leading up to Lake Chalice three days later on Friday (22/03/2019).
There was no sign of Jess in or near the vehicle, but Jess's phone, wallet, cash and phone (missing a Sim card) had been left inside. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys still in the ignition. The battery was dead, and the fuel gauge was sitting just above 'E'.
Police and LandSAR searched the immediate area around Lake Chalice for much of the following week, to no avail. The search was conducted by foot and air before being suspended pending new information/evidence. Waterways have been checked in the area, and dogs are unable to find a scent. Family and friends have continued a private search in the time since, taking us across the whole Marlborough, Nelson and Tasman regions.
The media have been a huge help in keeping Jess's case in the public eye, and people and businesses in the upper South Island have also been hugely helpful.
Jess has contacts across the whole upper South Island and Canterbury. Family and friends are unsure if Jess is in the Lake Chalice area, despite the vehicle being located there.
The police are still treating Jess's disappearance as a missing persons case.
We are raising funds to be able to post a reward for information leading to the location of Jess or, worst case scenario, Jess's body.
The conditions of collecting the reward will be as follows:
The information you provide must lead directly to Jess, or, worst case scenario, her body
The reward will NOT be shared among multiple people who provide the information we need. If you know something then first in first served, speak up quickly
In the event Jess is found before anyone claims the reward, the money will be used for any treatment Jess may require, with the remainder going to charity. If no witnesses come forward and Jess is not found, the money will be kept for a reasonable amount of time to allow witnesses to come forward at a later date, before being donated to charity.
Funds will be paid to a verified bank account of Kay Johnstone.
My cousin Jessica Boyce has been a missing person since March 19 this year. Our family are raising funds to post a reward for information for her whereabouts.
All funds raised will be used as reward money offered to anyone who can provide information that leads to the location of Jessica Boyce or, worst case scenario, her body. If we exceed our fundraising target that money will be added to the reward.
