Dunedin City has a goal to be zero waste by 2030, help us build a ReWash Truck: reusable service ware infrastructure for Ōtepoti.
Otago
Dunedin City has a goal to be zero waste by 2030, but how do we get there? and what does that even look like? Well, one easy solution is to remove Single Use disposable products and add reusable ones instead. Such as crockery and cutlery we already have in our amazing op shops. But to do that safely we need to be able to sterilise our service ware on the go.
That's why we are building a ReWash Truck that can service our Dunedin city and community events over & over & over again. Want to help us make that a reality? We would love your support!
We have raised $29,000 already for this project, but to fully realise it we need another $20,000 to purchase the truck that will house the entire operation. Every little bit helps us make this real for our community!!
Huge thanks to the Dunedin City Council Waste Minimisation Commercial grant for $24,000 and The Packaging Forum for $5,000 towards the ReWash Truck.
Every donor will get the opportunity to have their name alongside our other sponsors. Please let us know if you would like to take up this opportunity <3 We love our supporters <3
Let's build it for the community, Papatūānuku and our Zero Waste 2030 city goals!
NOTE: $20,000 of this amount is towards the truck, $1000 is for the 5% fee to Give A Little, any extra pūtea will go towards subsidising the ReWash Truck for community events.
These funds will be used for the purchase of the physical truck that holds all the steriliser equipment and reusable service ware. If there is any surplus it will go towards supporting the infrastructure to be available for community events.
