Fundraiser for Richmond Park skate ramp in Shotover Country
Otago
We've been working behind the scenes for the past few years to get this project going. We now have approvals from QLDC in place and have secured funding of $20k out of the $35k required.
This page is to raise money to fund the construction of a concrete mini ramp at Richmond Park (opposite Shotover Primary school) next to the existing mini pump track.
The intention is to create a safe place for young (and old) kids to skate and to create a social hub for the community.
The ramp itself will be mellow making it suitable for skaters of all ability levels. Ramp size is 10m wide with 2 different heights of 0.8m and 1.1m.
Once we raise the remaining $15k, we will get it built. We hope this will be before the start of Winter 2021 and construction to be completed soon after. The builder will be Civil Parks that has just completed the upgrade of the Wanaka skatepark.
If you think you or your family would use this facility, please donate.
This project is entirely funded by the LHE/SC Community Association and grants awarded to us (with only indirect support from QLDC) so please give generously.
This project is run by volunteers on behalf of the LHE/SC Community Housing Association.
All funds will be used to construct the mini ramp.
Construction will commence once funding target achieved.
