Rickshaw Run Fundraiser April 2019

We are a group of friends (Rochelle Emmett, David Silcock, Yohann Irani, Holly Barrett, Emma Beattie, Marty Leigh, Tristan Tolley, & Claudia Silva) doing the Rickshaw Run in India in April 2019. This is a fundraising event for Cool Earth and Women's Refuge.

Cool Earth is the partner charity to The Adventurists (who organise the Rickshaw Run) and they work alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. This work is very important to us in helping guarantee a future for us and our children that we want to live in. This charity is very successful in what it does and so far has:

SAVED ACRES 901,679

PROTECTED 216,402,960 TREES

STORED 234,436,540 TONNES OF CO2

Women's Refuge is our other charity of choice as it does a lot of good in local communities by helping domestic violence victims and promoting positive change all over NZ. Supporting a local charity alongside an international one is important to us so that we can reach a larger but also more intimate scope with the money we raise.

For Cool Earth we have a goal of 3000 NZD and whatever excess is donated will be given to Women's Refuge. This is because we are suppose to raise at least 1500 pounds (3000 NZD) for Cool Earth for the Rickshaw Run and then the excess goes to a charity of our choice.

In return for donations, we are putting on local gigs, movie nights, selling earrings and plants, and shaving their heads!
