Two crazy chaps riding for something bigger and better than themselves.
Christchurch, Canterbury
Good friends Glenn and Chris are embarking on the trip of a lifetime, cycling the length of Aotearoa, Cape Reinga to Bluff. This trip is 3000km long, and as much as i would like to say that these fine chaps will do it in one go, it will take them the better part of a month to complete this mammoth task. As part of the journey they are hoping to raise money for both Big Brothers Big Sisters North Canterbury and Otautahi Animal Rescue. Both organisations do wonderful work within our community for both vulnerable young people and vulnerable animals. So dig deep, really extend that elbow, and show some love for the lads in donating to wo worthy causes :)
I have volunteered my time with them (Big Brothers Big Sisters) and adopted rabbits from the other (Otautahi Animal Rescue)
Funds will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters North Canterbury - Giving young people from vulnerable backgrounds the best start in life by having a constant and reliable mentor.
And to Otautahi Animal Rescue - Giving animals a second chance at life after their first did not go the way it should have.

Yesterday, Glenn and I put our legs and, more importantly, our butts to the test as we ramped up our training regime to crank out 99km. This included a 650m elevation (into the clouds) and needless to say, our butts took a hell of a pounding :). Checkout the podcast below as the journey starts to ramp up and we look to talk to those that your kind donations will be going to.
