Riding 3000km to help Kiwis access afford psychological assessments for ADHD and autism.
Nationwide
I'm Dave Freddy and I'm cycling the Tour Aotearoa, fundraising for A Change for Better - The ACFB Fund.
Tour Aotearoa is a 3000km bike-packing challenge stretching from Cape Rēinga to Bluff.
Starting January 12th 2025, I'll be riding approximately 100km per day, carrying pretty much everything I need for the month-long trip with me on my bike.
I've chosen to support The ACFB Fund because as a father of a neurodivergent daughter, I know the work ACFB are doing to support neurodivergent people is desperately needed.
Currently, there are lots of barriers to accessing assessments and mental health care.
The ACFB Fund provides low-cost, timely autism and ADHD assessments, occupational therapy, counselling and other mental health resources.
This is life-changing for individuals and families struggling to access affordable services in a system that is overloaded with long wait times.
Everyone deserves access to the care and support they need.
If you are in a position to do so, please donate below.
Any support for ACFB is greatly appreciated!
Follow the social media below for regular updates once the trip begins!
The mission of The ACFB Fund is to make mental health support and resources accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of barriers to entry. We provide mental health therapy, psychological assessment, and resources to those needing it the most.
All monies raised will go towards helping to provide reduced fees for psychological assessments and clinical services.
