Raising funds for New Plymouth Riding for the Disabled as my 18th present from friends and family
Taranaki
My family has been involved in Riding for the Disabled since my dad and his siblings were young children, and thus we have first hand seen and been involved in the amazing work that they do for people who have all different types of disabilities. At the end of the month, I will be turning 18. Usually, birthday presents end up with people not knowing what to get or spending their money on presents which are never fully used. Instead of this, I am asking if my friends and family, as well as anyone who would like to just do a good deed for an amazing charity, to donate for my 'gift' this year. Anything donated will be gravely appreciated by the organisation and will be put to much better use than anything I could ever do with it. Thank you guys so much!!
My Aunt Jenny is one of the coaches working for the New Plymouth branch and is how I have been able to spend time volunteering at this branch.
Right now the sight has limited infrastructure, especially for when the weather is wet or cold. Wet weather infrastructure will allow for the kids to consistently have their lessons instead of having to skip multiple weeks!
