Starting on the 8th of November 2014 I am going to be cycling from Christchurch to Tauranga as a fundraiser in honor of Harrison Mundy.
Nationwide
Harrison was an amazingly brave kid who touched and inspired so many people, a lot of whom were not fortunate enough to meet him.
All of the funds raised from this will go towards “the Harrison Mundy scholarship trust” being set up by Allan and Hayley Mundy. This trust fund will provide a scholarship for the Cadet Lifeguard of the year.
After a string of injuries in 2013 I needed a new goal to keep myself fit and healthy. Cycling from Christchurch to Tauranga has been an idea sitting in the back of my mind for a few years now and I can’t think of a better reason for doing this than helping out our future lifeguards in honour of Harrison.
I’ll cycle just over 950km in the space of eight days starting at New Brighton surf club in front of the pier and finishing beneath Mauao at the Mt Maunganui Surf club.
Feel free to share this between friends and family. All donations are greatly appreciated and go directly to the cause.
