Riko - The Pirate Cat

Our darling 2 year old cat Riko was recently shot and is receiving treatments to heal from this horrible ordeal.

When we initially found our boy, he was hiding in our house, covered in blood, with multiple injuries to which we believed to have been sustained from some sort of fight (perhaps from a neighbouring dog).

The second visit to the Vet revealed Riko had in fact been shot with a .22 calibre (or higher) rifle. He has had multiple surgeries, including one to remove the bullet & bullet fragments, as well as another to remove his left eye. He is a true fighter and quite frankly lucky to be alive!

Riko has a lovely nature and enjoys his independence of adventuring outside, around our lifestyle block. Fortunately his spirit hasn't been diminished but perhaps lacks a bit confidence and is very reactive to any sudden movements/noises.

We are seeking support from anyone who can spare a couple of dollars, as with the ongoing vet visits, the bill is rising fast!!
