Murder Victim Rima Sikei Funeral & unveiling cost

My Young brother Rima Sikei was sadly taken away from us last month, He was a victim of murder.

Everyone that knew rima talked about his beautiful smile and that he always had that smile. He was also so cheeky, he would joke & laugh around, but he cared for you.

He was taken away from us way to early. Rima was involved in a lot. He worked full time at Te Whagai trust doing landscaping.

At his time working here he met the Labour MP of mt roskill Michael wood, and also MP Peeni Henare.

He also was a part of Global House church where he was able to travel to Malaysia twice for rugby. This was all he talked about when he came home from his trip he loved it. He had planned to take the kids to the beach the week after.

Roskill youth zone was his second home. If he wasn't at home he was here. He volunteered all the time to mentor the kids. And even helped out with cleaning & anything else they needed help with.

He also liked talking to and helping the students from wesley Primary & wesley intermediate, he loved working with the youth.

On his weekends he would play rugby for Eden rugby club. In his honor the club are creating an award named after him.

Rima also applied and was interested in joining the nz Police. I think he would have made a great cop. But sadly didnt get the chance to.

Late this year early next year the family are wanting to start up a trust to keep his name alive & also to give back to the community that he belonged to and keep looking after the youth & kids. That's what he would want us to do.

Some of us are feeling really lost and dont know what to do now. Anything will help.

We as a family want to raise money to go towards his headstone & Unveiling this year.
