Vulnerable Kiwis are dying because they can’t access life-saving medications. Help us get 250,000 signatures to double Pharmac's budget.
Otago
We’re Camilla and Julian.
In January 2020 we are going to tow a coffin to Wellington behind our tandem.
We’re doing this to raise awareness for the petition by Patient Voice Aotearoa to double Pharmac’s budget. Which you should really sign if you haven’t done so already.
We’re hoping that cycling a tandem with a coffin will generate enough media interest to help spread information about the petition, so more people sign it. We’ll also be stopping and collecting signatures at towns along the way. The tandem is a reference to doubling Pharmac’s budget. The coffin represents Kiwis who are dying because they don’t have access to life saving medicines.
We really want people to sign the petition and if you just do that we'd be happy. However, we know some people would like to do more than just sign and it will cost us around $1,000 to fund the trip.
So if you'd like to donate we'd be very grateful. Anything we raise above and beyond the direct cost of the trip will be donated equally to Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand and Patient Voice Aotearoa.
We'd like to cover the cost of things we'll need to help raise awareness during the trip such as the coffin, business cards and electronic signs. Any surplus will be donated equally to Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand and Patient Voice Aotearoa.
Thank You 15 January 2020
I just wanted to say Thanks for your support on Give a Little. We’re humbled and touched and it makes us all the more motivated to get this coffin to Wellington. You guys rock!
