Keeping you guys fully in the loop.

Ive just got back to Kaihu this afternoon. My first mission is list stuff i already have here to be able to move forward lightly and not lug stuff around and get stuck on the same property unless it aligns right. There are bigger and more The right location will pop up soon enough. Kaihu has been amazing but ive done my time here and need to be smarter with how i travel. Traveling back here today was 125 ks and to travel to Wellsford will be the same. This will be my final house sit in Kaihu. Ive developed some good skills here and you guys will benefit from that. The community here is small and poor. Not good for abundant minded John. John need to fly! Dont like being isolated and feeling trapped. Come visit and enjoy what i got to when i first arrived.

I have had thoughts about a business grant through winz but as i said im seeing a financial mentor first to discuss some other options first.

Kia ora everyone! I just wrapped up a wonderful pet and house sit in Kiripaka/Tutukaka, caring for a lovely home and the adorable Molly. I’m now back house-sitting in Kaihu until the end of August, arriving with half a tank of gas, strategically preserved!

Here’s a cool story: I recently traveled from Northland to Tauranga to say goodbye to my best mate Simon before he passed away. Knowing someone there who loves plants, I brought a rustic plant panel I made, hoping they’d like it. They did, so we swapped for a coffee machine they didn’t need and a timber unit I’ll refurbish. I brought the coffee machine back to Northland and, just yesterday, sold it for $50 on FB Ngunguru—right in the nick of time to fund gas back to Kaihu!

The buyer was a friend of the homeowner whose house and dog I was caring for, and she had the same coffee machine, but hers was broken. She tested mine by making me a delicious coffee, and I returned a jacket she’d left at her friend’s place. Right people, right time!

To cover fuel for a meeting with a financial mentor on July 15, I’m selling a few items locally in Kaihu. Your support helps me connect with the right people, get professional advice, and keep moving forward—thank you!

Special Invite: Donators that 'Personally Know Me' who fancy a tranquil getaway, come visit Kaihu for a couple of days. It’s one of the most peaceful spots you’ll ever find—stunning views and pure relaxation. All amenities provided.

    Book between 16th July - 20th Aug
