We are starting to plan ahead for winter as there not enough grass for the cows during the colder months. Here are the moo kids doing some taste testing (we have to get appoval before buying in bulk as they can be very fussy!) If you can spare a dollar or 2 for their winter feed us and the Moo's would greatly appreciate it!

Urgent help needed for newborn calf!

We have been asked if we can take on this little girl, she was going to be shot at birth as there is something going on with her front legs. We are unsure whether this is caused by contracted tendons or a joint deformity.

We really want to give her a chance but have no funds left in the sanctuary account after the last 6 calves and all our personal funds are currently being spent on our very sick little kitty

We need to get a vet out to assess her condition before we can move forward with a plan, the assessment is expected to be approximately $300 and if she can be saved then we will need to raise quite a bit more to raise her.

If you can donate even $1 please see our details below ❤️ every life deserves a chance!

2 MORE CALVES NEED YOUR HELP!

These 2 girls are bobby calves, and the last babies born on a dairy farm this year. We urgently need to get them to safety before they are killed for pet food!

The little girl in the first photo is 6 days old. The girl in the second photo is 2 days old.

Raising calves is very expensive, bobby calves especially as they are treated as waste products and often get sick easily as they often don't get enough colostrum from their mothers.

🐄🐄🐄If we reach at least $1000 in the next week we will be able to rescue these precious babies. We know it's a huge ask but their lives are in danger!🐄🐄🐄

    The donations cover. . .

Paying the farmer $10 for the baby's life

    A bottle -$27

3 bags of milk powder each ($115 a bag)

    Mooslie - $35 a bag each every 2 weeks

Vet bills - approximately $300-$500 depending on their condition when rescued

    Bedding - $30 a week.

Thanks to everyone who donated last week towards saving this little boy! He is safe at the sanctuary now. Lyn Mansel won the draw to name him and she has called him Ernie after her late father ❤️

    SAVE A BOBBY CALF SATURDAY!

    (Week 1 of 3)

As you have probably seen from our last post, this week Rising from Ashes Animal Sanctuary and Starfish Bobby Calf Project have managed to save 3 bobby calves from different farms that were all going to be shot!...https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0mY5gbScPbnAp3wy7DmV6cztJ6Fe8phCtmTkm4qtxdam6ZzxSvJEqFntar9xq1yC5l&id=100084366511718

    BUT... we need your help!!!

There are 3 more calves who desperately need our help. There is a little 4 day old boy and 2 babies are yet to be born, as with the previous 3 they are all going to be killed unless we can save them 😭

🐄🐄🐄If we reach $500 this week we will be able to rescue the little boy pictured.🐄🐄🐄

Each Calf costs between $500-1000 to care for until they are weaned. The donations cover...

Paying the farmer $10 for the baby's life

    A bottle -$27

2-3 bags of milk powder each ($115 a bag)

    Mooslie - $35 a bag every 2-3 weeks

Vet bills - approximately $200-$500 depending on their condition when rescued

    Bedding - $20 a week.

Thanks so much everyone for your donations so far. Today we have managed to rescue 2 little lives! We still have a way to go to cover these guys up until weaning so please share our page if you can. There are still 3 more unborn calves that need saving from the farm the little girl came from so we are trying our hardest to secure their futures!
