It has been one month today since the fleeting darkness it feels like it has been an eternity it just feels like so much has happened in that small time it feels like more time has passed. Anyway one of the side effects of the stroke is that Chris can no longer swallow properly because of this we have to be really careful as the food and water can travel into his lungs and he could choke or it could lead to another pneumonia. He has to do daily exercises to increase the muscle strength in his throat and has a follow up xray next Wednesday. I guess its even harder for Chris as he is a trained Chef so the baby food I'm preparing isn't very appetizing and the first word that came out after the stroke was bread lol. Anyway I think I'm getting better with my master chefing here we have potato and gravy and slow-cooked beef roast with a garlic and herb gravy with pea puree.

We are entering week 5 now Chris is having a procedure as they aren't happy with his heart it is fluttering, have been trying to increase the dosage of heart medication all week but this has been dropping his blood pressure. This morning they put a camera down his throat into the stomuch so they could get a better view of his heart they are planning to shock him again today to bring it back to a normal rhythm we are all quite nervous as this is what caused the first stroke and terrified it could happen again. Chris has been on thinning medication for several weeks so they say there is very little chance of this happening but you learn not to trust after all that's happened they say that his heart is damaged a normal person has 65 as a good rating chris is at 25. They also say there is risk with shocking him with his heart being at such a low level
