Ruby Joy (6) has serious complications from E.Coli bacteria. Please donate funds to assist her family.
Otago
Paul and Jennette Anderson and their 4 young children live in Queenstown, New Zealand.
Their third child Ruby Joy (age 6) has contracted STEC Shiga Toxia producing E.Coli bacteria. This is causing a rare complication called Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome (HUS). HUS damages the red blood cells, and can lead to acute renal failure in children.
Ruby Joy is receiving treatment and care in Auckland's Starship Hospital (New Zealand's leading provider of paediatric health care) and both Paul and Jennette are with her. The parents are self employed and are unable to work while they care for their daughter. The funds raised will be used to support them whilst they are away from home and unable to work. The funds will also assist with paying staff to continue to operate their business, in their absence.
We have been friends with the family for many years, and attend church with them. Our children also attend school together.
The money will be spent on assisting the family, as they are self employed. They are from Queenstown, New Zealand however Ruby Joy has been sent to Starship Hospital in Auckland for treatment. They money will assist with paying staff to cover them.
