Unfortunately, Rudi's eye cannot be saved, and so he will undergo more surgery in early February to have it removed. With the on-going vet bills your support is very much appreciated.

  • Update on Rudi's injury

      6 January 2025

Rudi continues to receive vet care. The eye is damaged, that much is certain. Movement of the eye is restricted. He is a beautiful boy, with such a huge personality. He is still an operational avalanche search and rescue dog until April, but at that stage is likely to be retired.

His dad Blair is commencing his Paramedic, training in February and his studies take him to Wellington.

Rudi and Blair thank you very much for your kind generosity in assisting with Rudi's vet bills. Wishing you a Happy New Year.
