Not even the excruciating pain of a crushed pelvis could keep Narky from dragging himself home to his dad after being run over
Auckland
After being run over, Narky bravely dragged himself towards home. Not even the excruciating pain of a crushed pelvis could stop him going home to his person. He is fighting to survive and needs our help.
Abandoned by his biological mother (a cat) in the garden of a lovely couple as tiny kittens, Narky and his sister were taken in and raised as the much loved children they are. With no two legged kids of their own, this cat and his sister are their parents world.
While his parents are committed to helping hospitalized elderly family members overseas and struggling financially, they need our help to provide the medical care Narky needs to save his life.
This humble family never ask for anything for themselves and deserve to have their community step in to help them.
Please help me help save their baby boy! We cannot let funding be the deciding factor in a situation where surgery can save his life and get Narky walking again. Original quotes for the surgery required were $12-15k but because I have friends in the right places, I was able to get a friend to assist at a substantially reduced rate.
Images of his X-rays and a copy of the surgery invoice are attached in the gallery.
A friend of Narky's dad, Patrick, trying to help alleviate some stress in this incredibly difficult time.
All funds raised go toward Narkys hospitalisation and surgery bills.
Look who’s standing on his own!! 6 October 2026
Despite the unfortunate haircut, look who is strong enough to stand on his own again! He is walking to his mum and dad for visits and toileting well.
This boy is not only fighting but has proven to us his will is as strong as his body!
It won’t be long before it’ll be time to remove the external fixation device and let his body do the rest!
Please continue to share his fundraiser or if possible, consider another small donation.
Much love from all of us!
