The Trust has advanced an early rebirth of the Hall's emblematic signage, given the scaffolding that is in place from repainting work. Although much specialist joinery and veranda work remains to be financed, the whole town has been boosted by the sight of local artist and Trust member Les Holmes beginning to bring back the Hall's proud adornment - "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" and "World's Wealth for World's Workers". See this recent update from the Greymouth Evening Star.

On the building front, the recladding of the facia is continuing apace. We hope to have repainted the exterior and begun work on reapplying the signwriting of iconic mottos in the next 2-3 months.

Meanwhile, please check the Pictures and Articles section of our website to get a feel for the truly amazing story of this small West Coast coal town and its not-so-small, internationally important Miners' Hall.... go to www.runangaminershall.org.nz .

Thank you all for your interest and support.
