In June this year my dream of finally becoming a mother turned into a nightmare I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. I went into early labour and my identical twin boys were born at 22 weeks and 6 days. My first born was stillborn, his brother was strong and lived for 8 hours before dying on my chest.
I am doing the Kerikeri half marathon on November 15th to raise money for Sands Bay of Plenty.
Sands is a parent-run voluntary non-profit organisation and registered charity which has been set up to support parents and families who have experienced the death of a baby.
The services and support Sands BOP give you is priceless but it isn’t free. All products, clothing, bedding, blankets and time is either donated by caring individuals or made possible through fundraising.
I hope to raise $2100 because it costs approximately $100 for the services I received from Sands BOP and I would like 21 families to have this service too. Plus I am running 21km, so it all ties in nicely :-)
Please help me pay it forward by sponsoring me, so parents of angel babies can keep receiving this amazing service.

Sands Bay of Plenty is a parent-run voluntary non-profit organisation and registered charity which has been set up to support parents and families who have experienced the death of a baby.
Sands Bay of Plenty offers support in Tauranga for families of babies who have died at the time of their loss and for the years to come. We provide newly bereaved parents with gift packs to help create memories with baby, blankets and clothing for baby, and offering support when needed.
We promote baby loss awareness and provide support for those dealing with the death of a baby - during any stage of pregnancy or newborn and infant death.
