RUNNING 6.4km, EVERY 4 HOURS FOR 48 HOURS TO RAISE FUND FOR UKRAINIAN CHILDREN
Christchurch, Canterbury
In response to the U.N. reporting over 1 million refugees have left Ukraine in the last 7 days due to the Russian invasion, many of whom are children. We have decided to do what little we can by taking on the 4x4x48 running challenge to raise funds for the Ukrainian refugees.
The challenge is running 4 miles (6.44km) every 4 hours for 48 hours, which totals running 6.44km 12 times over 2 days. 77km total. This will be done over Friday 11th and Saturday 12th. The goal is to raise $20 per km, for a total of $1540.
ALL DONATIONS will go to The International Rescue Committee. The IRC is on the ground in Poland supporting displaced children and families with vital supplies.
