Jayden has been struggling his whole life with a rare disease Hirschsprungs, amount other things. I’m running to help him with hospital care
Canterbury
My nephew Jayden is a fantastic wee man. He loves playing games on the Xbox (although sharing with his brothers!), singing and music, all of the Disney movies and dancing around. He’s always seems to be happy and smiling and is one of the best kids I know.
Unfortunately when Jayden was born he was diagnosed with a rather large list of diagnoses. The main one, Hirschsprung’s disease, means he’s spent most of his life on IV nutrition however he has been trying very hard to eat food and high calorie formula to move away from the IV nutrition so he can run around crazy with his brothers!
I decided that in November 2020 I’ll be running the Queenstown half marathon. If you know me, you know I’m not the fittest person in the world but to be the best Aunty I can and help out my strong wee man I wanted to collect sponsorship so we can help out Jayden with the difficulties he’s been facing.
The family has recently moved to Australia for the better health care the specialists can give him so this will help with them staying there too.
If it’s a few coins you pledge or just your support, I appreciate anyone and everyone who follows this journey with me. Everything donated will be given to Emily Hendry (Jayden’s mother) when the half marathon has been completed.
Love you all and wish me luck!!!!
I am a loving Aunty to 4 boys including Jayden
Hospital care, supplies, emergency care and cost of living in Australia. It is currently unknown what subsidies they will receive in Australia as they are New Zealanders
