Bringing Hope to Ukraine: Partner with Us to Make a Difference

  • Mission accomplished

      2 May 2025

Over the past few weeks, we drove thousands of kilometres across Ukraine — village to village, person to person.

We brought food to 700 families. Delivered medicine to hospitals. Stood with the sick. Hugged until our arms ached. Cried more tears than we can count. Helped rebuild homes that war had torn apart. Faced danger, experienced great sadness — but also witnessed incredible strength and hope.

I’m beyond grateful to have shared this journey with my amazing team: my wife Christine, and my friends Tudor, Anton, Seb, Sarita, Tony, and John.

And to every one of you who supported us, sent encouragement, or just kept us in your thoughts — this is your impact too. Thank you

  • 700 food boxes distributed

We’ve had a few unforgettable days out here in East Ukraine. We delivered hundreds of food boxes across seven different villages and spent time with wounded soldiers in a hospital. We aim to continue delivering food and medicine over the next few days.

Hearing the people’s stories broke our hearts — the pain, the loss, the things they’ve lived through… there really aren’t words strong enough to describe it. This war is devastating. Lord, please bring Your peace

  • Arrived in Moldova, soon leaving for Ukraine

      19 April 2025
    Main image

We’ve arrived in Moldova, filled with anticipation and purpose. Soon, we’ll leave for central Ukraine to visit a precious orphanage, before continuing eastward to the conflict zone.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll journey more than 3,500 kilometers in Transit Vans—carrying food, vital supplies, and life-saving medicine to frontline villages and hospitals.

Please pray with us: that every person we meet would encounter fresh hope, and that our team from New Zealand, Moldova, and Ukraine would be protected every step of the way.

Gratefully and with deep honour, I want to acknowledge our courageous team—Tudor, Tony, John, Seb, Sarita, and my wife, Christine. We’re also thankful that our dear friends, Anton and Owen, will be joining us later. And with heartfelt respect, I want to honour Stephen Wescombe who was unable to be with us due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • Overflowing Gratitude: Reaching 700 families with food and hope

With deep gratitude to God and the incredible generosity of so many, we’re humbled and overjoyed to share that we’ll be delivering food to 700 families in six or seven villages —double the number we reached last year!

We’ll leave Moldova with three delivery vans and meet our amazing Ukraine team and our friend Owen from New Zealand in Dnipro. From there, we’ll head to Sloviansk with a convoy of five vans, carrying six tonnes of food.

A heartfelt thank you to Tudor for working so hard to bring everything together — we couldn’t have done this without you.

  • Gearing up for our 4th Ukraine supply run in April ‘25

      29 August 2024

A few days ago, Russia carried out one of its most significant air assaults on Ukraine since the war began. The attack targeted power infrastructure, leading to widespread blackouts across the country. As air raid alerts sounded nationwide, everyone was urged to take shelter. Please help us by spreading the word to support these desperate people

KYIV, July 8 (Reuters) - Russia blasted the main children's hospital in Kyiv with a missile in broad daylight on Monday and rained missiles down on other cities across Ukraine, killing at least 36 civilians in the deadliest wave of air strikes for months.

Parents holding babies walked in the street outside the hospital, dazed and sobbing after the rare daylight aerial attack.

  • 3 Humanitarian missions in 2 years

      14 May 2024
    Main image

Over the past two years, our team poured our hearts into three impactful humanitarian missions in Ukraine.

We journeyed through perilous terrain, braving air attacks and treacherous roads, to deliver aid to over 700 families in remote villages near the frontline.

We brought comfort to orphanages, provided essential supplies to women, and brought smiles to children with toys. Amidst the heartbreak and joy, our resolve remains unwavering.

Yes, we will do it again. Yes, we will continue to risk our lives for strangers in need. The innocent souls in Ukraine depend on us, on you.

Could you kindly share or forward our Give-a-Little page with those who echo our compassion?

  • Thank you!!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who generously contributed to this vital mission!

Your kindness has profoundly impacted the lives of over 400 families across seven villages. Amidst navigating challenging roads and narrowly avoiding air attacks, we journeyed nearly 3000km.

We witnessed the devastation of poverty and felt the raw emotions of those we met—sharing tears and laughter alike. Our hearts were both shattered and uplifted. With your unwavering support, we provided essential food, hygiene products for women, and medicine to hospitals just 10km from the front lines.

Your compassion has brought hope to those enduring unimaginable hardships during this devastating war. Thank you for making a tangible difference!

  • Supplies to the villages

      13 April 2024

We're continually reminded of the abundance we have in New Zealand, which makes the stark contrast with the scarcity in these communities deeply distressing. Visiting seven villages to deliver essential supplies to 400 families stirred a mix of emotions; it was both heartwarming and gut-wrenching to hear their stories and try to fathom the tragedies they've faced. Their gratitude for our help was evident, making it tough to leave knowing they still needed more support. The heartfelt plea of one woman, "Don’t forget us, don’t forget us, please come back!" stayed with us long after we departed. Reflecting on our visit last year, we're still amazed by the incredible hospitality shown to us. Despite their own struggles, they shared what little they had with us without hesitation, ensuring we never went hungry. We shared many hugs and witnessed tears of deep gratitude, reminding us of the privilege we felt to be part of this team and to have the chance to help these remarkable individuals.
