Safe courts for our tamariki, rangitahi and whānau to connect, stay active and a play for the whole community to enjoy.
Marton, Manawatu-Wanganui
Rangitīkei Netball Centre may be small, but we're the beating heart of netball in our community of Marton. Each year, hundreds of local tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau come together on our courts to play, connect, grow, and thrive through the power of sport. Our centre is more than just a place to play netball — it’s where confidence is built, friendships are formed, and the next generation learns resilience, teamwork, and pride. Despite limited resources, our volunteer-run centre is growing fast, with more teams, more schools, and more community engagement every season.
But our courts are no longer safe. The surface is worn, slippery, and increasingly dangerous — with injuries becoming too common. We urgently need to resurface them to protect our players and continue growing this vital hub. With the planned addition of Basketball to the space this provides a multi-sport facility. With your support, we can give our community a safe, modern space to stay active, connected, and inspired. Help us futureproof this taonga (treasure) for our district — and keep the spirit of netball alive in the Rangitīkei for generations to come.
A court resurface. Basket ball hoops we can interchange with our netball hoops and adding an extra court to the current space to give us more capacity.
