Same heart second chance

Have you ever had to help a loved one from bleeding out with your own bare hands right in front of your eyes? On the 21st of May a life threatening event unfolded which left only our only brother in a critical state. His partner had just taken maternity leave and they’re both really excited to meet their first baby boy in a matter of weeks. This tragic event could’ve taken that joy away within a matter of minutes.

My Brother was leaving a party and was attacked by the group of males. He drove himself 25 minutes home not realising the seriousness of his condition. His partner had witnessed the horrendous state he came home in. He suffered from a split open head,broken nose and cheek bone and suffered x4 stab wounds and with one being life threatening to his heart. The wound pierced right through his heart which also caused both of his lunges to fill with blood. He was flown straight to wellington hospital where we were told he needed to be taken straight into an open heart surgery with a very high possibility he wouldn’t be waking from it as the extent of damage to his heart was that severe. He awoke from his 5 hour surgery and is on his long road for recovery.

In hopes of this page we want to help financially move some stress from himself and his little family.

Cyris will need multiple follow up appointments and on going care in wellington. He is left unable to drive and is unable to carry out any form of normality’s for a good length of time.
