Hi everyone, thank u all for your support and donations from u all, much appreciated. Just letting u know that Sapphire is doing awesome, she's healing fast and now enjoying herself. She had an awesome Christmas and New Years, and all her follow ups at her appointments are going well. Sapphire is now out of her sling and has full movement, is definitely eating well, walking and talking, and her memory loss is getting way better now. Her scars are all healing well, and she's finally starting to be able to be herself again, the loving cheerful child everyone knows, we are so blessed for her recovery. I will update again next week after her next 2 major follow-ups. Today's went really well. We are definitely moving forward. Thank u everyone, God bless, stay safe and have a wonderful holidays. Sapphire says thank u to everyone for helping and supporting us all and she was so happy to be able to thank the doctors and nurses in person today at Starship while there. Our happy Saffy is back, a huge thanks to everyone, we couldn't do it without u all. Much love from us all to u all, until next update......keep smiling 😃

  • An extremely challenging week

Hi there everyone, thank you to everyone for their help, their support, their donations, all much appreciated in everyway. This has been an extremely challenging 1st week home, mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially. More than I had anticipated that's for sure. Sapphire is doing well, considering her injuries, been in and out of meetings and clinics for various tests and checks, some gud, some unsure answers yet. Sapphire has developed a bit of a memory loss here and there, unsure yet whether this will be permanent or not but they are going to keep a close eye on it, have several appointments for various injuries and checks leading up till Christmas, but hopefully we will still have Sapphire home for Christmas as long as things are either improving or kept stable with where we are now and no more major set backs. Sapphire has her gud days with the bad at the moment, a few flashbacks of the accident, which seems to be easing, but seems to be handling it ok as much as she can. I will be updating here Christmas day next or just before with photos, thank u all so much for your continued support and donations, we couldn't do this without you all. Merry Christmas to you all, God bless, stay safe, and thank u all from Sapphire, myself and my whanau. You all are such beautiful people and I will always appreciate wat you all have done to support us, making it easier to get through this real hard time......... Thank u all

Thank you for the update. It is heartwarming to hear that Sapphire is improving. We hope the accident flashbacks that she is having fade and she continues to recover. No doubt there will be many more challenges yet, but you sound like a wonderful caring Dad and your love and support will help smooth the way. We wish you, Sapphire and the rest of your family a lovely Christmas and don't forget to take good care of yourself too. Merry Christmas with your little miracle girl :-)

First of all thank you to everyone's support in every way possible, to each and every single person, Thank You!!! A miracle has happened, yes you heard right, a miracle has happened. Sapphire is now at home. We have plenty of on going visits to various appointments for atleast a year we have been told, but she was allowed to come home under strict restrictions and monitoring as this was Sapphires wish was to go home so they granted her the only wish she wanted. Over the weekend she amazed all of us, getting up to go to the toilet, walking, talking , complaining she was hungry and wanted real food, and most of all wanting to just go home. Doctors couldn't believe her progress over a couple of days and the ward soon knew her as the miracle girl. She is so glad to be home enjoying her toys and siblings and just been home. We know it's a long road from here, but we are all looking positive for the future, and my girl is home for Christmas. I am so happy for her being alive, but her coming home with so much progress is unbelievable and thank you everyone for making it possible for me being able to focus and being with her by her side the whole time and not having to worry bout finances and everything else while doing so. Still a long road ahead , plenty of tests, plastic surgery, spinal checks, brain checks etc, but we are on our way in the right direction. Thank you everyone for your continued support, I just can't thank everyone enough, God Bless, Stay safe, next update sn

Hi there, once again thank you to everybody for their support and donations, it's really appreciated and because of yous I'm able to be here beside her thru this long journey ahead. Sapphire turned 6 last Friday and it was awesome to be able to share the news for that day. Since her birthday there's bn more progress, she's speaking short sentences now, alot of movement in arms and hands, and finally little movement in her toes. She's breathing on her own now, and nearly off all sedation to start with other processes to see wat other things may improve slowly, sapphire is out of the danger zone now and we are all really grateful and overwhelmed she's made it this far, she's a true fighter as she was before the accident. I will post again soon as more progress happens, thank u so much everyone for your support and being their with us On her journey to recovery, much appreciated, stay safe, God bless and thank u
