Save Buddy and give him a forever home in NZ

HI Brenda thanks for much for your efforts for Buddy. details were sent to me from a friend in the USA. I am the founder of The NZ Cat Foundation and do similar things for stray cats so I am thrilled to see what you are doing.
I have around 200 cats I have rescued off the streets on my olive estate and no dog but if you get to a situation where there is no one to take Buddy to a good home since he gets on so well with other animals , geese, ducks, chickens etc ( and cats) we could look at taking him but obviously I am hoping some one kind and caring will put their hand up for him. I too am worried him still being on the streets over there though. I really hope nothing goes wrong .. is he leaving for NZ on August 30?? my nephew brought their dog back from China - i had him on my TV show and it was such a lovely story. Buddy’s process has now started thanks to the Pet Transporter Michael and Tony from the SPCA
Buddy is now living at the SPCA house and his process has started to get him here
This can take up to 3 months
But as I get information I will post and let everyone know

Hi Brenda, just wanted to see if there was an update on Buddy yet? We have been staying at Palm Grove and are at the airport now. Can’t stop thinking about him :) Thank you and thank you for putting this together for Buddy and the SPCA!!

No I was in contact with Tony from SPCA yesterday and am waiting on an email from him with information on how to get the Process started for Buddy
It’s a 3 month process and I will keep Everyone updated as I get information in
I can’t wait to get him here and to his forever home
I have had reports from people in Rarotonga staying around or at the Palm Grove that they have been hanging out with Buddy his wound is healing well and that he just had a big feed of fresh Tuna that they caught
So he’s being looked out for until Tony collects him .

Thanks so much for your prompt reply Brenda. Great news that Tony will be speaking with you tonight and that you have a lovely professional dog handler to look after Buddy. We look forward to hearing of Buddy's progress, and welcoming him to NZ. I'm giving my 2 (Golden Retriever and Maltese Poodle) furry friends extra extra hugs tonight!

Hello there. I see Buddy is still on the streets, but notice that there appear to be more than enough funds that have been raised ($6,587) as opposed to the $5,500 (approx) to get Buddy back to New Zealand. If there is more than enough money to get Buddy home, can the process not be speeded up. The 30th August is quite a way off, and if Buddy is still wandering the streets. I'm worried for the little guy. Thank you for caring.

Yes we have raised more than we need through so many people’s generosity 💚
I have already contacted Tony from the SPCA in Rarotonga and he will get back to me tonight with what happens next
So like you I hope that buddy can be taken in to care ASAP but it’s a process that we need to follow
As soon as I have any updates I will let you know
Meantime I am putting things into place this end
We have a lovey volunteer who will give her time freely she is s professional dog handler
To help with anything Buddy needs
And a contact in Pet transportation that will help us this end

Hi Buddy is still on the streets and will be until all funds are raised to start the process
But we do have someone keeping an eye on him
He’s hanging around where we were staying
