Save Rongotea Pool
Our well loved and widely used community pool is broken and worn out and we need your help to get it upgraded.
Manawatu / Whanganui
We have been fundraising to upgrade our community pool for some time now and we are almost there!
Our pool currently has cracked tiles causing cuts on children's feet and the whole thing is in need of a complete major overhaul which is not cheap. It is almost at the point where it is unusable due to health and safety concerns.
So far we have raised money through fundraising events and initiatives, and from applying to funding agencies but we are still just short of our goal and we need your help to get he project over the line.
100's of people from all over use this pool every year and it plays a vital part in teaching children to swim - a skill which could be lifesaving! This is a pool which benefits our whole community and it needs your help!
Use of funds
All money raised through givealittle will go directly to paying for the pool upgrade. We are a few thousand dollars short of our target that we have been working towards but we will get there and this money will 100% be going straight towards the pool

A massive thanks to everyone who donated towards our pool project!
We now have enough money for stage 1 of the project to go ahead which will get the pool safe to swim in again. Fundraising for stage 2 is now underway which will include the filtration system upgrade, changing room and fencing upgrades and the plumbing up of our heating system.
Another big thanks to everyone for there support. This project would never happen without our awesome community and supporters behind it!
