Good tack ticks by them! It will allow them more time to prepare something, that must be working on probably! It probably adds to your costs too, clever eh!
Please can you keep me updated, thanks Paula

Unbelievable! I work so can’t go to the hearing but would very much like to know what happens. Thanks
Save Our Wetland St Arnaud
Hi Paula, the Callover meeting went ahead but because of some discrepancies (eg the developer’s lawyers had not notified all landowners in the proper manner), there will be another callover meeting on 4 September
Paula asks
Excuse my ignorance, but if there is a covenant in place, then how are they going to be allowed to develop the land? Are they trying to overturn the covenant? Can a covenant be overturned and in what circumstances? Is there another bit of dirt that could be suggested as an alternative? Who is the developer please?
Save Our Wetland St Arnaud
Hi Paula. That’s such a good question. There is a covenant allowing for a maximum of 2 dwellings but the developer wants to subdivide and build 10. If we don’t fight to protect this covenant it can be overturned! They have already excavated the wetland to create 10 building pads (despite the covenant in place) so they are serious about proceeding. I’d rather not name and shame the developer on this forum but there is a public callover meeting at 10am on Wednesday 22 July at the Nelson District Court.
